Grade 3 student:

“I really like writing and receiving letters from my friend in Labrador. With every letter I learn more about him. I hope I can meet him once.”

A grade 2 student rushed to the teacher’s desk at the end of class with a half written note that she quickly finished. “Please put this note in all of the letters we are mailing out today. This is to all of our friends.”

On the note she wrote:
“happy happy year of 2024
love the world, love yourself, have a day of kindness
have a day of love, have a year of kindness inclusive and love
have the best year ever
Never show meanness, always show kindness,
from Georgia“

Genevieve Merenda, grade 2/3 teacher in Toronto:

“It has been a truly rewarding and magical experience. The program fully engages all kinds of different learners in the class as they learn about similarities and differences and their daily adventures, interests and heritage. Students participate in the REACH program with a special joy, curiosity and enthusiasm.”
